Something is wrong.....

Something is wrong with society's train of thought. Michael Vick gets 23 months for partaking in a dogfighting ring. Donte Stall worth just 30 days for DUI Manslaughter. Since when is an animal's life more precious then a humans? Don't get me wrong, it was horrible that those dogs were killed, quite tragic. Donte Stallworth was driving under the influence and killed Mario Reyes, a father, a husband, and the brea winner for the family.

This is wrong on so many levels.

Kicks and BBQ

That's right Kicks and BBQ! Crazy combination I know. The plan yesterday was descend on to the NY BBQ festival with a vengenance yesterday, but me and my boys made a detour. We made an impromptu stop at THE VAULT. Nice little sneaker spot in Harlem. I know it's shallow, but a brother has been looking for a pair of green and yellow Nike for a year. No one ever has my size. Then I saw these . I grabbed them with the quickness and they only cost me $30. Yes, I know, I'm very hateable right now.

Well with bags in hand we headed to the food. Madison Square Park was packed and the aromas in the air were so good. I felt like a kid who just walked into a candy store. Only to realize the candy store had run out of candy. Every single vendor was running out of food fast. I needed my BBQ fix. There should be sauce all over my face and hands. My shirt should look like a Jackson Pollack painting. I was getting depressed, but a stroke of genius came over the group all at once. BROTHER JIMMY'S!!!!!!!!!!

By time we left Brother Jimmy's everyone looked like sleep would be their best friend in about 15 minutes.

KICK and BBQ. Crazy combination but it made a great Sunday afternoon!

Is that the Sun?

Thank God, I saw some sun today. I thought I would have to start building an ark. So I had to go enjoy it. My hobby for the summer is learning how to use my new Rebel XS camera. I love it. I know I'm going to piss my boys off. I want pictures of them. My little project for the summer is to have a wall of digital picture frames. Each frame will be of pictures I take around Harlem, pictures of my sisters and nephews, and pics of my boys. They are going to be the problem. They act like they're wanted by the police. Here are a few pics I took. I know their amateur, but it's a good start.

Oh My God....

It's venting time, venting time across the USA!!!!!!!





I am blessed and lucky to work for the New York Public Library (being sarcastic). I would like to point out some of the idiot things I see and deal with:

1. This is not Blockbuster or Netflix. Stop getting mad because we don't have the latest movies on the shelf.


2. No you can not use your cell phone and talk as loud as you want. I don't want to hear about your doctor visit or your fight with Pookie. Take it outside


3. When you use the computers they do not belong to you. Stop thinking you can do whatever you want on them. Stop looking at porn. Please!!!!!!


4. The library is nothing new. Fines have been around for a long time. Did not just start up last week. So stop acting surprised when you hear there is a fine for the 20 DVD's you took out and kept 2 weeks past the due date.


5. Staff is not safe from me either. Do your job and do your job right. You make it harder for those who try to do their jobs.


6. PARENTS: The library is not a day care center. Stop thinking we keep track of your children. No your child can not use the phone so you can ask them a question. No we can not tell them to go home. No I do not know what Shaquita looks like so I can give her a message.


7. Here is how the library works: you check it out, you bring it back, someone else checks it. If you check it out and don't bring it back, no one else can check it.


8. No we will not let you into the building early just because it's raining, cold, or snowing


9. The library does not have a cafeteria. So can you please take ice cream, pizza, hot dog, chips, and etc. outside


10. The library does have books. It is not just for computers.
